Privacy Policy
What this website collects, and what it does not.
Research For The Kids is a small volunteer group in Dubuque County, Iowa. This website is run the same way: as simply as possible. This page explains what the site collects and what happens to it.
What the site collects
- Contact form. If you send us a message, we store the name, email address, phone number, and message you type so a committee member can reply. Nothing else.
- Page counts. The site keeps a running count of page views per day. It is a single number per day. It is not tied to you, your device, or your address.
- Server logs. Like any website, the web server records requests, which can include your IP address, for a short period so we can fix problems and block abuse.
What the site does not do
- No advertising networks, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics.
- No cookies for visitors. The only cookie this site sets is a login cookie for committee members who sign in to update the site.
- We never sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever.
Donations
Online donations are processed by the University of Iowa Center for Advancement on their own website. When you click the donate button you leave dbqrftk.com, and their privacy policy applies to what happens there. We never see or store your card details.
Other sites we link to
This site links to Facebook, CaringBridge, and the University of Iowa. Those services have their own privacy policies and we do not control them.
Photos
Ride day is a public event and we take pictures. If you are in a photo on this site and would like it removed, email us and we will take it down.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Questions or removals
To ask what we have, or to have it deleted, email us and say so. We will take care of it.
