Every year we have on record
These come from the committee’s own check presentations and stage reveals. Years without a photographed total are left off rather than estimated.
Biggest single year: 2022, $344,110.22. The 7 years shown here add up to $1,982,737.
Where the money goes
Every dollar raised by the poker run, the auctions, the raffle and the guest bartending nights goes to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital, earmarked for brain tumor and heart defect research.
The committee is unpaid. Businesses along the route donate the stops. Sponsors cover what the day costs to run, which is why the number on stage in September is very close to the number the hospital receives.
- Pediatric brain tumor research
- Congenital heart defect research
- Presented as one check each fall
